When natures trusts you

Sorry about the picture quality. I have an ANCIENT phone.

But nature amazes me. It's so unpredictable. And this little guy chose to trust me. I put out my finger and he hopped on.

We shared time and space for about 2 minutes. Isn't he adorable? Look at his delicate antenna and his little feeder. He kept probing the tip of my finger to figure out what I was.

To be trusted by a fragile creature is a gift.

  1. I just started seeing butterflies when I moved here to CO. I never saw them in NY. It's amazing watching them and knowing that they're all God's creatures.

    1. Really? No butterflies in NY? They are such delicate creatures and so important for pollination, I just love them.

  2. We had an instance with a praying mantis this summer where it crawled all over the kids and let us observe to our hearts content. It was really amazing.

    1. Oh how cool! I had a "pet" praying mantis in Texas when I was a kid. It was like 6 inches long, everything's bigger down there, ya know. Anyway I would watch him every day and then "he" had babies! They hatched out of a little egg pouch deal. I'll bet your kids absolutely loved that.

  3. I think it has great faith, doesn't it? Rarely do human beings have such great faith. However, it is understandable as human mind is not innocent mostly.
