What a difference 20 years makes, though not as much as I might have thought back when I was 20 and 40 seemed ANCIENT. And for the record, between the first photo and second photo, we spent 16 years apart, in different states. Broke up at age 23 and reunited at age 39 :)

20-ish and thought we knew it all. |

40-ish and finally sure that we don't. |
I love "now" and "then" photos! Congratulations on 20 years together! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. With the in between time, we've technically been together 7 years altogether, but we picked up right where we had left off just a lot better :)
DeleteI just love your story! It just shows that some people are meant to be together.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Missy :) I truly think you are right. Just sometimes there's a lot more learning, growing and maturing that is needed.
DeleteLoved the story! Kinda reinforces my idea that if your meant to be together, you will be together some day.
ReplyDeleteI think you are right. We tried life apart and it didn't work out so well :( I feel as if I am where I was meant to be now.
DeleteLove it! I need to do something like this! We have been together 18 years, married 16, and seeing heartwarming stories of reunions like this totally make my day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. :)

You totally should do that! It would be neat to see your then and now. I guess reunion stories are becoming more common with Facebook. I think when you are young without the complications that life later brings, you meet someone you connect with on a very basic level.
